When choosing turf for heavy traffic areas it is important that you use a heavyweight product. Look for products in the 80oz – 90oz range. The higher density of turf will stand up better and longer to constant traffic. For heavy traffic areas, it is strongly recommended that you add up to 3 pounds of sand per square foot. This will help the area to better absorb the traffic. You will see these projects mostly in city parks, shopping malls, and public common areas.
